Let's start at the beginning? Some of you know I have been cosplaying/costuming for quite some time- and I have been in and out of 'retirement' more than I can count. Regardless of the reasons why I take leave, I always find myself coming back to costuming- it's one of my Batman/Bruce Wayne passion projects (Watch this for that reference). My costume career has included many Star Wars projects, and ever since I could remember, I've wanted to be part of the 501st. Dreamed, aspired, and too terrified to try. Luckily, my Bruce Wayne life has led me to a place where I have not only met people who are members, but mentally brought me to a place where I really want to nurture my inner 'Batman' and go forth to pursue that (tl;dr: working sucks, and it's time to do something that does some good and is freaking fun at the same time). There are many other reasons why the 501st and I don't want to bore you all (all... maybe 2 of you) so, let's get started...
I will try to update this the best I can... (I think it'll be fun to document my descent into madness)...
My BBB arrived this weekend (that's "Big Brown Box" btw)... which means all my shiny parts are waiting to be unwrapped, inventoried, and worked on :)
OOOOOH, exciting. It's a box. Probably the best box to ever arrive.
